The Christian Democratic Movement of Georgia offers its deepest condolences to the Polish people over the tragic death of President Lech Kaczynski and his delegation members. We share the grief of the families of victims and all Poland.

CDM leader Giorgi Targamadze met EUMM Chairperson in Georgia, Hans Jörg Huber. EUMM work in Georgia was discussed during the meeting.

With regards to the Russian-Georgian conflict, George Targamadze, Chairman of the largest oppositional party in Georgia said: \"We should morally prevail.\" During an
interview at the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum in Bonn, the Chairman of the Christian Democratic movement said that the military offers no solution to the bilateral conflict with Russia. He said that Georgia\'s perspective \"reflects a modern European society\" that concentrates on \"evolution and not revolution.\" He went on to say that the attractiveness of such a model for Georgia would convince minorities, who are still pushing for separation, to stay in Georgia.

Leader of the parliamentary group Christian Democrats Giorgi Akhvlediani appealed to the Georgian National Communications Commissions at a press conference held on June 3.

The Christian Democratic Movement has met the ambassadors and the representatives of the diplomatic missions in Georgia at the Simpatia Hotel.
